Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for July 2025:
Total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN decreased 0.8% and 14.3% YoY to 3,711,876 visitors and 2,023,386 visitors respectively, in the first seven months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 96.6% and 175.2% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN recorded a sequential MoM decrease of 16.0% and 36.2% to 347,492 visitors and 144,129 visitors respectively, compared to the month of June 2025
Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the leader at 25.5%, followed by Vietnam (19.3%), China (18.5%), U.S.A (3.5%), Lao PDR (3.2%), Korea (2.9%), Indonesia (2.5%), France (2.3%), U.K (2.3%) and Japan (1.7%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 81.7% of total tourist arrivals, a decrease of 3.6% YoY to 3,031,604 visitors in the first seven months of 2025
Arrivals by air increased 23.2% YoY to 1,658,647 visitors, while arrivals by land / waterways decreased 14.3% YoY to 2,053,229 visitors in the first seven months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 60.6% and 185.7% respectively, compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, arrivals by air saw a sequential MoM increase of 12.3% to 233,980 visitors compared to the month of June 2025
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased 26.3% YoY to 1,244,163 visitors in the first seven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 98.9% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport saw a sequential MoM increase of 9.2% to 186,860 visitors compared to the month of June 2025
Arrivals from China increased 48.2% YoY to 687,509 visitors in the first seven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 45.8% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, arrivals from China saw a sequential MoM increase of 3.0% to 100,738 visitors compared to the month of June 2025
International business-related travels to Cambodia increased 23.3% YoY to 949,406 visitors in the first seven months of 2025, with the top 5 markets coming from China (46.6%), Vietnam (19.6%), Indonesia (6.4%), Thailand (4.9%) and Taiwan (3.4%), representing a recovery rate of 113.1% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, international business-related travels into Cambodia saw a sequential MoM decrease of 31.9% to 95,899 visitors compared to the month of June 2025
International business-related travels coming from China (which comprise 64.4% of total arrivals from China) increased 36.6% YoY to 442,715 visitors in the first seven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 67.3% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of July 2025, international business-related travels coming from China saw a sequential MoM decrease of 42.2% to 38,851 visitors compared to the month of June 2025

Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for December 2024:
Total international tourist arrivals increased by 13.6% YoY to 2,403,451 visitors and arrivals from ASEAN increased by 5.1% YoY to 1,306,080 visitors in the first four months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 99.5% and 185.9% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of April 2025, arrivals from ASEAN were 332,170 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 10.4% compared to the month of March 2025
Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the highest at 28.0%, followed by Vietnam (17.1%), China (16.1%), U.S.A (3.8%), Lao PDR (3.4%), Korea (3.1%), U.K (2.6%), France (2.6%), Indonesia (2.3%) and Japan (1.7%)
These top 10 markets accounted for 83.6% of total tourist arrivals, an increase of 23.6% YoY to 5,603,894 visitors in 2024
Arrivals via air and land / waterways increased by 28.4% YoY to 2,396,937 visitors and 20.0% YoY to 4,303,188 visitors in 2024, representing recovery rates of 54.4% and 195.0% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via air and land / waterways were 244,744 visitors and 454,324 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 0.8% and 18.5% respectively compared to the month of November 2024
Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased by 28.3% YoY to 1,752,583 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 84.6% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport was 165,082 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.3% compared to the month of November 2024
Arrivals from China increased by 55.0% YoY to 848,952 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 35.9% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals from China was 79,177 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.5% compared to the month of November 2024
International business-related travels into Cambodia increased by 37.8% YoY to 1,393,198 visitors in 2024, with the top 5 markets coming from China (41.9%), Vietnam (21.8%), Indonesia (8.2%), Thailand (5.3%) and Taiwan (3.4%), representing a recovery rate of 101.6% compared to the same period in 2019
