Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for November 2025:

  • Total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN decreased 13.8% and 31.0% YoY to 5,172,841 visitors and 2,622,993 visitors respectively, in the first eleven months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 87.7% and 135.9% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, total international tourist arrivals recorded a sequential MoM increase of 13.5% to 422,766 visitors, while arrivals from ASEAN recorded a marginal sequential MoM decrease of 0.7% to 155,822 visitors, compared to the month of October 2025
  • Of the top 10 markets, Vietnam was the leader at 21.6%, followed by China (21.4%), Thailand (19.6%), U.S.A (3.6%), Korea (2.8%), Lao PDR (2.7%), Indonesia (2.5%), France (2.4%), U.K (2.3%) and Japan (1.8%)
  • These top 10 markets accounted for 80.6% of total tourist arrivals, a decrease of 17.2% YoY to 4,168,338 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025
  • Arrivals by air increased 21.0% YoY to 2,603,535 visitors, while arrivals by land / waterways decreased 33.2% YoY to 2,569,306 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025, representing recovery rates of 64.3% and 133.6% respectively, compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, arrivals by air and arrivals by land / waterways saw sequential MoM increases of 16.4% and 8.2% to 279,399 visitors and 143,367 visitors respectively compared to the month of October 2025
  • Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased 22.2% YoY to 1,940,304 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 102.3% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport saw a sequential MoM increase of 6.1% to 187,311 visitors compared to the month of October 2025
  • Arrivals from China increased 43.5% YoY to 1,104,952 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 50.7% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, arrivals from China saw a sequential MoM decrease of 5.9% to 104,668 visitors compared to the month of October 2025
  • International business-related travels to Cambodia increased 12.7% YoY to 1,441,393 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025, with the top 5 markets coming from China (47.6%), Vietnam (18.8%), Indonesia (6.4%), Thailand (4.0%) and Taiwan (3.4%), representing a recovery rate of 110.9% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, international business-related travels into Cambodia saw a marginal sequential MoM increase of 0.7% to 127,531 visitors compared to the month of October 2025
  • International business-related travels coming from China (which comprise 62.1% of total arrivals from China) increased 27.9% YoY to 686,229 visitors in the first eleven months of 2025, representing a recovery rate of 68.7% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of November 2025, international business-related travels coming from China saw a sequential MoM decrease of 5.5% to 63,415 visitors compared to the month of October 2025

Key highlights of the tourism statistics report for December 2024:

  • Total international tourist arrivals increased by 22.9% YoY to 6,700,125 visitors and arrivals from ASEAN increased by 19.2% YoY to 4,235,631 visitors in 2024, representing recovery rates of 101.4% and 190.1% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, total international tourist arrivals and arrivals from ASEAN were 699,068 and 436,263 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 11.6% and 19.2% respectively compared to the month of November 2024
  • Of the top 10 markets, Thailand was the highest at 32.0%, followed by Vietnam (20.0%), China (12.7%), Lao PDR (5.0%), U.S.A (3.2%), Korea (2.9%), Indonesia (2.5%), France (2.0%), U.K (1.7%) and Japan (1.7%)
  • These top 10 markets accounted for 83.6% of total tourist arrivals, an increase of 23.6% YoY to 5,603,894 visitors in 2024
  • Arrivals via air and land / waterways increased by 28.4% YoY to 2,396,937 visitors and 20.0% YoY to 4,303,188 visitors in 2024, representing recovery rates of 54.4% and 195.0% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via air and land / waterways were 244,744 visitors and 454,324 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 0.8% and 18.5% respectively compared to the month of November 2024
  • Arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport increased by 28.3% YoY to 1,752,583 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 84.6% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals via Phnom Penh International Airport was 165,082 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.3% compared to the month of November 2024
  • Arrivals from China increased by 55.0% YoY to 848,952 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 35.9% compared to the same period in 2019. For the month of December 2024, arrivals from China was 79,177 visitors, representing a sequential increase of 1.5% compared to the month of November 2024
  • International business-related travels into Cambodia increased by 37.8% YoY to 1,393,198 visitors in 2024, with the top 5 markets coming from China (41.9%), Vietnam (21.8%), Indonesia (8.2%), Thailand (5.3%) and Taiwan (3.4%), representing a recovery rate of 101.6% compared to the same period in 2019
  • International business-related travels coming from China increased by 48.2% YoY to 584,138 visitors in 2024, representing a recovery rate of 55.8% compared to the same period in 2019
